For a summer school with a new name and modified content, justASK! has been in Caen again in June 2026. This year’s edition was held under the new name ‘NEXWIND‘ (Next Generation of Offshore Wind). International Students from Europe and abroad worked again together for four weeks to propose a preliminary design of an offshore wind farm. The summer school was again hosted at ‘BUILDERS‘ in Caen where students received lectures from universities (e.g. Delft University of Technology, Ghent University) and practitioners from the field (e.g. DEME, NOERD).
Despite very hot temperatures during the last days of the summer school and the 2nd version of the RIM conference the students delivered excellent reports and presentations, showing that the topic is of key relevance for engineers interested in the offshore field.
