justASK! has been in Caen again for another version of the summer school “Offshore Renewables and Aquaculture”. International Students from Europe and abroad worked together for four weeks from 27 May to 21 June 2024 to propose a preliminary design of an offshore wind farm and an offshore salmon farm. The summer school is again hosted at ‘Builders for Society‘ in Caen, a highly ranked French engineering school. Students received lectures from both universities (e.g. Delft University of Technology, Ghent University) and practitioners from the field (e.g. DEME, NOERD), they participated in excursions, performed hydraulic model tests, and produced a design report covering the requests from a detailed task assignment report.
